The third Qatar Museums International Volunteer Trip saw Qatar-based volunteers travel to both Buenos Aires, Argentina and Matanzas, Chile. The group of volunteers worked alongside partners in both countries—restoring heritage artefacts, supporting community programmes, learning local craft techniques and contributing to environmental initiatives.
Throughout the year, Qatar National Library (QNL) hosted a series of bilingual storytelling sessions, musical evenings and creative workshops alongside a nationwide reading initiative for children. QNL also hosted a Latin Food Truck Pop Up by La Mesa, showcasing the culinary diversity of Argentina and Chile. The Antarctica - Continent for Peace and Science exhibition took visitors on a powerful journey through Antarctica through a curated selection of photographs.
A series of JEDARIART street art exchanges brought together Qatari, Argentinian and Chilean artists to create new murals at the Qatar Olympic Cycling Track, in Buenos Aires and on the walls of Valdivia in Chile.
The third edition of CultuRide brought together 18 cyclists from all three nations for a long-distance cycling expedition across the Andes that covered more than 500km of spectacular landscapes.
Cinema also played an important role in Qatar, Argentina and Chile 2025, with curated film screenings held throughout the year, illuminating the longstanding ties between Arab and Latin American cinema. The Doha Film Festival shared the work of Argentinian and Chilean filmmakers through short film screenings, youth juror exchanges at the Ajyal Film Festival 2025 and an orchestral performance of iconic film scores by Gustavo Santaolalla.
Cinema Under the Stars: Beneath the Latin Moon welcomed visitors to a series of outdoor screenings at MIA Park and West Bay Beach. The film festival concluded with a Headline Show at Lusail City Stage, featuring performances by Palestinian-Chilean artists Elyanna and celebrated Qatari singer Dana Al Meer.
