As part of the legacy of the Qatar Argentina and Chile 2025 Year of Culture, the inaugural edition of CultuHike brought together participants for an eight-day journey through the Argentinian and Chilean Andes.
Following the historic Cochamó Pass from Bariloche in Argentina to Chile’s Cochamó Valley, trekkers crossed challenging alpine terrain, rivers, picturesque valleys, and ancient forests, while camping in isolated locations and engaging with local communities.
Designed to foster cultural understanding through shared experiences, the trans-Andean expedition reinforces long-term people-to-people connections between Qatar, Argentina, and Chile, beyond the 2025 Year of Culture.
