Ferjaan, which means ‘neighbourhood’ in colloquial Qatari Arabic, was an impressive village covering over 1,200 m2.
A historically-accurate representation of a Souq was built in Roppongi city to host exhibits by various Qatari organisations and institutions and showcase a number of cultural projects. Visitors enjoyed performances by Qatari artists as well as talks and presentations.
Ferjaan celebrated the rich heritage of Qatar and celebrated its modern achievements. The village engaged local visitors in Tokyo through interactive platforms, film screenings, music and dance, competitions, food and art.
