This competition is open to all people living in Qatar, nationals and residents of all ages and gender. The competition is free to enter.
Original stories can be submitted in Arabic or English and applicants can submit more than 1 entry and a maximum of 3.
The judging panel will consist of 4 entities: Qatar Museums, Embassy of Qatar in Tokyo, Japan Embassy in Doha and Geekdom – Doha Film Institute.
The winning stories will be announced on Social-Media & Year of Culture website.
The submitted entries need to be more than 12 pages per story.
The maximum size of the submitted file is 200 MB.
All entries must be submitted in electronic form (PDF).
All entries must be in Black & White with Coloured Cover.
Submitted entries can be in Arabic or English.
Artists have the freedom and creativity to choose the style of manga they want.
All entries must have a title and the name of the copyright holder on the cover page.
The rights to publish, screen / perform, and visualize the winning entries belong to owned exclusively by Qatar Museums.
Either the illustrator or story writer of the submitted work can apply for this competition if the copyright holder of the submitted entries agrees to the application.
For publicity, the organiser of this competition may use all submitted entries regardless of whether they win in promoting future competitions; therefore, all participants agree to this condition and exempt the organiser from obtaining approval from the copyright holders.
